Paris celebrates year to Olympic Games 2024

The River Seine in the heart of Paris chosen to celebrate Paris 2024 a year ahead of the Olympic Games. IOC President Thomas Bach and iconic Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt were there to unveil the official countdown.

There was great excitement as the ribbon was cut and special boat travelled the Seine.

The Olympic officials impressed with the development of the athletes village.  It is located in Seine-Saint-Denis, northeast of Paris.

The site filled with shops, workplaces and green spaces for the 6,000 residents when Olympics under way.
