Curling stars chosen Chef de Mission at Winter Youth Olympics
Two of Curling’s great competitors reunited in their Chef de Mission roles at the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024.
Eve Muirhead and Lisa Weagle competed against each other at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. Now they are back at the Gangneung Curling Centre as Chefs de Maisons of Great Britain and Canada respectively.
Muirhead (Team GB) and Weagel (Canada) are passing on their wisdom to teams of emerging talent across seven sports at Gangwon 2024.
Both know the Winter Youth Olympics offer life lessons and experience beyond the sporting competition.
Muirhead and Weagle enjoy each other’s company at Gangwon 2024: We competed for many years in lots of big, big games.
