Invitation to drop by London’s LGBTQ+ new social centre – stays open for 5 years!
A new LGBTQ+ community centre has opened in London. The newly designed pop-up was a 6-month temporary space located on Bankside not far from the Tate Modern.
But now on the 50th anniversary of the first Pride in London march, the centre announced it has a contract with Southwark Council to staya further 5 years.
It is modelled on similar centres in New York, LA and Manchester. Key to the pop-up is that its safe, inclusive and run by the community for the community. Funded through a crowdfunded and the National Lottery.
