Squeeze at Royal Albert Hall – a fan’s view

Squeeze at Royal Albert Hall. A fan’s view of this incredible performance

The Royal Albert Hall again played host to one date of Squeeze’s ‘The Difford And Tilbrook Songbook 2019’ tour of the UK 29 October 2019.

The South-London legends first came onto the music scene over forty years ago.  But the maturity of their catalogue of songs, which includes Cool For CatsUp The Junction and Tempted, outlived their initial burst of chart activity on the back of New Wave.

The band’s Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriting duo Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook relaunched Squeeze in 2007. They released two critically acclaimed albums in the past three years.

‘The Difford and Tilbrook Songbook 2019’ tour will capture the works of one of the most prolific and acclaimed songwriting partnerships sill working today. The band brought back their scintillating live performances back to the iconic Royal AlbertHall. Fans treated to not just the hits, but also rarities that span their 45-year career both as Squeeze and solo artists.
