Sassy Queen Longest Serving Monarch😀

On 9th September 2015, the Queen became the longest-serving monarch in British history overtaking her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria.

While no major celebrations were expected to take place Her Majesty marked her longest reign by making a speech in Scotland where she unveiled a plaque to officially open the Borders Railway line.  She then addressed the nation from the newly built railway station in Tweedbank, near Galashiels.

Her Majesty has ruled for more than 63 years and 216 days

But street artist, Pegasus, decided to pay his own tribute to Her Majesty.

He created a tantalising piece of artwork on a pub restaurant in Islington North London.  He said he wanted to mark the occasion in his trademark way.  The sassy image was inspired by Miley Cyrus and Marilyn Monroe.  He also said he got permission from the property owner to paint the cheeky picture of Liz on the door of the premises.

People passing by were stunned, surprised and even admired the artwork.  Ynuk.tv went and had a look and captured some of the reactions from those who wandered by for a look

What are our thoughts?   Great piece of work?
