Many arrested at Pro Palestine Action demo outside US Embassy London

Up to 139 arrested at a protest outside the U.S. Embassy in London on Saturday 31 October, 2026

Police have taken into custody the demonstrators who were protesting in support of the banned Direct Action group ‘Palestine Action’.

The Met alleges the ‘meeting to purposefully commit a crime’.

Demonstrators also held a vigil outside the U.S.Consulate in Edinburgh, Scotland, holding placards.  No arrests reported there, but Police Scotland said that inquiries to identify people seen wearing T-shirts and holding banners showing support for a proscribed organisation were ongoing.”

Last year the Government ruled Direct Action as a terrorist organisation. The ban makes membership in or support for Palestine Action a crime  punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
