LIVE: Suella Braverman defects to Reform UK

Suella Braverman becomes third sitting Conservative MP to join Nigel Farage’s party in little more than a week.

The former cabinet minister, was a surprise speaker at a Reform event in London where she announced she was joining the party.

Unveiled at a rally in London, Braverman told Reform supporters she had also resigned her Tory membership of 30 years, adding: “I feel like I’ve come home.”

Braverma has been an MP since 2015.  She served as home secretary under Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak.
