Kate at Wimbledon for official presentation
The Princess of Wales joined by her daughter and sister at Wimbledon as she made her first official solo engagement since beginning treatment for cancer.
Kate, who wore a purple Safiyaa dress, arrived shortly after 1.30pm at the All England Club.
Her attendance at the men’s final on Sunday is her first public appearance since she joined the rest of the royal family at the King’s birthday parade. four weeks ago.
The princess, 42, was joined by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, 9, and sister Pippa Matthews, 40, in the Royal Box. Prince William could not attend because he is travelling to Germany to watch England play Spain in the Uefa Euro 2024 final.
The princess is patron of the All England Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club and has regularly presented the trophies at Wimbledon.
There were questions over whether Kate would attend this year’s tournament. This because she is still undergoing cancer treatment following abdominal surgery at the beginning of the year.
