Christie’s in London auctioned guitars and amps from the personal collection of music legend Mark Knopfler. Frontman of the British band Dire Stratis, Knopfler has more than 120 for sale.

The auction raised £8,840,160 / $11,227,003 / €10,342,987

Fans and/or collectors had an amazing choice from the collection.

The guitars spans the 50-year career of the world’s most influential musicians.

They went under the hammer 31 January 2024. 

The guitar hero will donate 25% of the sale -estimated between £300 to £500,000 – to his supported charities.
