SpaceX Starship launched into orbit for first time

The massive Starship splashed down in the pacific ocean north of Hawaii after returning to earth earlier than planned.

The mission was supposed to last about 10 hours, but the SpaceX team decided to end it early.

During its mission the megarocket deployed twenty six “next generation” Starlink V3 satellites.

They join the existing constellation which deliver broadband internet on Earth.

SpaceX’s Starship megarocket went into orbit for the first time ever on Monday – September 28. Watch this historic event again.

It is described as revolutionary and a major milestone in space technology saying “the world’s most powerful launch vehicle ever developed”.

It adds it will eventually carry crew and cargo “to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond”.

Flight 14 is slated to be the first Starship mission to reach orbit and will also mark the debut of SpaceX’s Starlink V3 satellites, which are designed to expand the company’s Starlink constellation.

SpaceX’s Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket is a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
