Celine Dion is back. She glided on to the stage. There are tears almost immediately.

Her appearance was the first time in almost six years after revealing she was battling a rare neurological disorder. Celine was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

Performing in Paris on Saturday to a sold-out crowd of tens of thousands, an emotional Dion told her adoring fans that it was “amazing we are all together”.

In this video watch her perform “All By Myself” thought to be the most significant for Dion. At one stage she glances upwards before unlashing herself on the final chorus.

When she realises she hit the big notes, it’s relief – then triumph – that spreads across her face. Given where she has come from, and her performance on stage, it’s a feeling that is clearly well deserved.
