PMQs Keir Starmer calls PMs Rwanda plan a ‘farce’ – ahead of key Rwanda vote
PMQs Keir Starmer calls PMs Rwanda plan a ‘farce’
Rishi Sunak faced Sir Keir Starmer in a testy Prime Minister’s Questions.
PM – Rwanda plan will be a “working deterrent”.
Starmer says PM ‘doesn’t believe’ in Rwanda plan. He describes the policy as a ‘farce’.
This ahead of a key Rwanda vote that could bring down his leadership.
Is this a make or break time for the PM. Will he survive the premiereship.
The Rwanda issue is not going away. A number of Tory MPs have stood down from the bill. The vote follows PMQs.
Despite the rebellion, Downing Street remains confident the bill as a whole will pass in a vote this evening.
If it passes, the bill goes to the House of Lords when peers given the chance to suggest changes.
