U.S. Spacewalk 98 – final installation of communications antenna 

Toward end of mission ESA’s Sophie Adenot developed an issue with her left arm causing some pain. NASA’s Anil Menon moves in to help.

NASA astronaut Anil Menon and ESA (European Space Agency) flight engineer Sophie Adenot began their spacewalk at 8:35 a.m. EDT (1235 UTC). 12pm BST

The pair finish installing a high-speed communications antenna on the International Space Station; Menon and Adenot began the work on Aug. 18, 2026.

Menon will serve as spacewalk crew member 1 and will wear a suit with red stripes. Adenot will serve as crew member 2 and will wear an unmarked suit.
