King Charles has cancer – Buckingham Palace announced
King Charles has cancer
Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles has cancer.
This news comes after the King, 75, received treatment for an enlarged prostate at The London Clinic.
Charles spent three nights at the private hospital after undergoing corrective surgery.
After discharge on January 29th, the King recuperated at Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
It’s reported that the King might need up to a month off from public events.
On Sunday, Charles visited St Mary Magdalene Church for his first public outing since admitted to hospital.
It is not prostate cancer, says Buckingham Palace, but was discovered during recent treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The King began “regular treatments” on Monday.
The King returned to London from Sandringham in Norfolk Monday morning. The palace said Charles started treatment as an outpatient.
Although public events paused, the King continues with constitutional role as head of state. This includes paperwork and private meetings.
