the Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp hosts a special press conference at the AXA Training Centre to discuss his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the current season.

Klopp’s decision to stand down has shocked the nation as well as Liverpool fans. He said he had “run out of energy”.

The boss announced this morning he had informed the club’s ownership of his wish to leave his position at the conclusion of 2023-24.

Alongside Jürgen, Reds CEO Billy Hogan who will also take questions from the media.

Klopp was appointed in October 2015 and his contract was due to run until 2026.

He won the Champions League in 2019 before leading Liverpool to their first league title in 30 years in 2019-20.
