Behind the scenes with the King – a cheeky view of Charles during rehearsals

This is a clip of King Charles III and his family at coronation rehearsals due to appear in a documentary shown on broadcast channels Boxing Day.

There is an interesting moment when the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby is about to place the St Edward’s Crown on King Charles’s head.  This during the coronation ceremony in Westminster Abbey.

Watch as Charles interacts with his grandchildren at Westminster ahead of the ceremony that took place back in May.

It shows the affection, humour and closeness between senior members of the Royal Family.

Viewers in the UK can see Charles the Third – the Coronation year, at 6.50pm on BBC One and on iPlayer.
