Safety First at Camber Sands Beach. #beach #drownings #heat
School is out and summer holidays have started. Many families heading for the beach. But take care. Moving tides can be a danger and is some cases lead to drownings.
It was safety first at Camber Sands beach, East Sussex, during August bank holiday weekend 2016. Crowds headed for the coast to enjoy the sun, sand and sea. The RNLI had their vehicles and lifeguards on patrol. It follows the deaths of five men in their teens and 20s from south-east London. They drowned not knowing the tidal waters of the area. We took a stroll along the beach to see how ‘safe’ people felt being there.
