Sir Keir Starmer has been showing his tough side since becoming leader of the Labour Party. It seems it is coming across during his first PMQs.
Less than three weeks on from the general election, the prime minister has booted seven of his MPs out of the Parliamentary Labour Party.
Former shadow ministers Rebecca Long-Bailey and John McDonnell, who served on Jeremy Corbyn’s front bench, were among the seven voting against the government
The MPs have had the whip suspended for six months after not supportingt the government on an amendment to scrap the two-child benefit cap.
