Trafalgar Square fills with Chessboards
Large crowd of chess players attended the country’s largest chess event in Trafalgar Square London. Annual event, the ChessFest had no trouble winning an audience for most of the players.
From learner to master players they mingled to either watch or play tense and challenging games.
Many were blown away with 9 year old Bodhana Sivanandan, Englands prodigy, who knocked out an American opponent. She lives in London and practices her skill every day.
ChessFest is the UK’s largest chess event and is aimed at anyone who loves chess or wants to learn to play the game. What’s more, it was completely free of charge!
Weather was not at its best and rained for most of the day. But it didn’t stop the desire to watch or play a game.
Many sat at tables where they could play with a Chess Master and may be learn a trick or two!
ynuk.tv went along to check out the skills of chess players and meet the young chess prodigy.
