The Princess of Wales says she is making “good progress” after her cancer diagnosis and attends Trooping the Colour on Saturday.
The impressive military ceremony is held on the King’s summer birthday.
While King Charles born on 14 November, as part of a long-standing tradition dating back to the 18th century. Charles’s birthday publicly celebrated on a different date in June.
Epic celebrations will mark the sovereign’s second birthday as King.
Trooping the Colour is a regal slice of London pomp and ceremony that harks back to the time of Charles II.
Due to his cancer diagnosis the King paraded in a horse-drawn carriage instead of riding on horseback.
Each year, a different regiment’s colour is represented at Trooping the Colour.
Irish Guards troop the colour on Horse Guards Parade in the world-renowned spectacle full of music, majesty and military precision.
