Brexit: New Dawn at Parliament Square

Thousands of Brexit supporters descended on Parliament Square to mark Britain’s official departure from the  European Union. It was at 11pm Friday 31 January 2020. Boris Johnson said it was a ‘new dawn’. We, ynuk,tv, visited the square to see how the new dawn looked.

Guardian: Most people are now in favour of rejoining the EU, but Labour is right to steer clear of another row over Europe.

Times: Big Ben was silent as Britain left the European Union on January 31, 2020, so the vote that divided the nation culminated with Boris Johnson and a small gong inside No 10. While some celebrated the opportunity to “take back control”, others mourned the loss of their membership of the European community.
