Red Striped House Covered Up

Red Striped House Covered Up. The candy stripes barely seen by neighbours or public anymore.

A controversial red striped house in Kensington London is now boarded up despite winning a case to rebuild.  It’s not known why the candy stripes have been covered up.

In 2017, owner Zipporah Lisle-Mainwaring won a legal battle to replace it with a new home. But neighbours objected.  Row between both sides led to the issue going to court.

Lawyers for Ms Lisle-Mainwaring said they had no information concerning the cover up of the stripes.

Kensington and Chelsea Council say if work not done within 3 years of the plans approved then work cannot go ahead.

Take a look at the video where you can see the then and now of the candy striped house

Did you see the house while it had the stripes on display?  If so let us know what you think.  It is certainly a different property now.  A great fuss when Zipporah Lisle-Mainwaring wanted to demolish and rebuild the house.  Neighbours disliked the idea intensely and fought to have it stopped.  Soon after the red stripes went up.
