Baftas 2026 – Leading ActressÂ
Jessie Buckley won best leading actress in the 2026 BAFTAs.
It was for her role in Hamnet.as Agnes Shakespeare. It is the first time an Irish performer has won the best actress prize at Bafta.
She was ecstatic and talked the first time in London, during which she wore “nuclear” fake tan.
Buckley delivered a characteristically warm acceptance speech at the Royal Festival Hall on London’s South Bank.
