LIVE: Funeral procession for boxing legend Ricky Hatton
Ricky Hatton’s funeral procession will depart from the Cheshire Cheese pub on Stockport Road in Hyde. Members of the public invited to line the hearse’s route to Manchester Cathedral. The cortege is expected to pause at the New Inn to release doves in Hatton’s honour.
Friends, family and stars of the sporting world are gathering on the streets of Manchester for a funeral procession for British boxer Ricky Hatton.
The former world champion was found dead at his home in Hyde at the age of 46 last month.
The service will be held at midday in Manchester Cathedral.
