With images dropped via satellite Heineken® is able to locate flat rooftop spaces on buildings and transform them into social spaces.

They found some in the busy city of Seoul.  The urban isolation that can set-it was soon changed and it became a fresh space to enjoy.

Watch how it was done.

It comes as research shows more than half of city dwellers feel lonely, and believe their cities are designed for work rather than socialising.

Recent data shows more than half (57%) of city dwellers in London, Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Paris and Sydney often feel lonely.

Some, (33%) experience feelings of isolation weekly or more despite living in some of the world’s most densely populated areas. This a figure that rises to a massive 47% for the Gen Z and millennials surveyed.

A third of adults (35%) say that their city does not encourage social interactions.  New York (66%), Seoul (49%) and Paris (49%) ranking lowest.

Moreover, one in three (30%) say they have met someone new outside of work once or twice in the 6 months.
