Tom Grennan headlines Radio 1’s Big Weekend Liverpool

Chart-topping pop star Tom Grennan hit the stage at Radio1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool.

The Friday headline act Tom Grennan entertained the Radio 1 Big Weekend crowd in Liverpool

Fans were on their feet, jumping around in the rain, and thoroughly enjoying the atmosphere of the big show.

The first day of the music festival kicked off in Liverpool’s Sefton Park. The festival is set to feature approximately 100 acts over the bank holiday weekend.

An estimated 100,000 fans are anticipated to attend the festival over the weekend.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat ahead of his set, the Higher singer described “headlining the biggest weekend of the summer” as “pretty crazy”.

“It’s been such a mad journey.”

The festival, which takes place in a different UK location each year. chose Liverpool for 2025.  And the rain did not stop the show!
