The meeting between U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and top EU officials, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, intended to pave the way toward a new agreement between both sides.

It is understood a deal is done on fishing rights for 12 years in UK waters.
But some parts of the new deal are still subject to negotiation, including a youth mobility scheme
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says UK-EU deal is very concerning and that the country is becoming a rule-taker from Brussels once again.
The summit is intended to “reset” relations, after the UK left the EU on 31 January 2020.
Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman says the government has “let down our fishing community”.
