Keir Starmer Immigration Reform – take back our country

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer talks ahead of Immigration White Paper publication.

PM: We need to reduce immigration ‘significantly”.  We will “take back control” of our borders.

Migrants who pay their taxes on time, volunteer in the community and work in public sector or high-skilled jobs prioritised for residency rights under new immigration reforms.

After Reform’s election gains, the prime minister set to unveil plans to cut net migration.  This in an immigration white paper targeting low-skilled workers.

Sir Keir Starmer unveiled plans to drive down net migration.  This in the wake of sweeping election gains by Nigel Farage’s Reform UK by making it harder for migrants to secure settlement and citizenship in the UK.

The prime minister declared that indefinite leave to remain in Britain: “a privilege that must be earned, not a right”.

Unveiling an immigration white paper along with Yvette Cooper, the home secretary, Starmer focused on low-skilled workers.  This in a move that threatens the social care and university sectors.

PM criticised the “broken” immigration system, pledging tougher enforcement and a fall in net migration numbers to prioritise those who “contribute to Britain’s growth and society”.
