Covid-19 Inquiry LIVE: Matt Hancock gives evidence
The inquiry will hear from Dr Salman Waqar, of the Federation of Ethnic Minority Healthcare, Yvonne MacNamara, of the Traveller Movement, and Lara Wong, of Clinically Vulnerable Families, followed by former health secretary Matt Hancock and Professor Heidi Larson, an expert in vaccine hesitancy.
The hearings run from January 14 to January 31 and will look at the issues relating to the development and rollout of vaccines in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The UK was the first country in the world to deploy an approved Covid-19 vaccine.
The latest round of the COVID inquiry focuses on vaccines and anti-viral treatment across the UK. Today we’re hearing evidence from former health secretary Matt Hancock. Watch live in the stream.
