Masked Singer Christmas winner: 80s pop legend
The winner made his name with such hits as Relax and The Power of Love.
Frankie Goes To Hollywood singer Holly Johnson won the Masked Singer festive special after revealed as the voice of Nutcracker.
“I’ve enjoyed performing, I don’t ever have to do panto now,” Holly said after unmasked.
He also made a gag about “cracking Joel’s nuts” after playing the Nutcracker.
Frankie Goes to Hollywood sprung onto the scene in 1980.
They were made up of Holly, Paul Rutherford, Mark O’Toole, Brian Nash and Peter Gill. The group enjoyed such smash hits as Relax and The Power of Love.
There was a superstar panel of detectives, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and special guests, comedy titans Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.

Speaking about the show, Joel, 39, said: “It’s just such a great show and I love that it’s now part of some peoples traditions. Families have their meal and sit down and watch The Masked Singer, it’s lovely.
“It’s joyous and it’s for all the family”.
A new series of The Masked Singer means a new line-up of incredible costumes as the mystery singers take to the stage disguised in an outlandish array of characters.
The Masked Singer returns to ITV at 7pm on 4 January.
