Live: The Royal Family Welcomes Amir of Qatar for UK State Visit

The Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, accompanied by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bin Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, has accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom.

This from Tuesday 3rd December to Wednesday 4th December 2024.

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the State of Qatar Neerav Patel said the visit will contribute to boosting bilateral cooperation across various field.  Also hailed the relations between #Qatar and the #UK as “deep and historic”.

The Princess of Wales takes on even more royal duties than previously planned during the visit and seen as a ‘positive sign’ in royal circles.

This described as Catherine’s most significant public engagement since she began cancer treatment.  The Princess will welcome the Emir of Qatar to London on behalf of the King.

A royal source described the announcement of her attendance as ‘good news’.
