The BBC and Fable Pictures present new drama series Mr Loverman. It is based on the acclaimed 2013 novel by the Booker Prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo.
Mr Loverman adapted from the Booker prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo’s novel, is about what it means to have a good life built on lies.

Mr Loverman is a life-affirming story about family, love, and being true to yourself.
Bernardine Evaristo says: “I am thrilled that Mr Loverman is being adapted into television drama. I love the idea of them stepping beyond the pages of the novel and into people’s living rooms and lives.”
New show can be viewed on BBC One and iPlayer.
Guardian –
This is a different, spikier, much braver tale about the Windrush generation than usually makes it on to our screens. There is closeness, vibrancy, violence and sorrow in the mix, plus an examination of many forms of love and how they can either strengthen or warp under pressure. It is more of a mood piece than an action-packed drama, with closeups of human life, with all its exquisite agonies and joys, portrayed by actors at the top of their game.
