The movie, The Outrun, is an adaption of Orkney writer Amy Liptrot’s bestselling memoir. Nora co-wrote the story with Amy Liptrot and Daisy Lewis.

The storyline: Rona, fresh out of rehab, returns to the wild Orkney Islands after more than a decade away. As she reconnects with the dramatic landscape where she grew up.

The film premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on 19 January 2024. It is scheduled to be released by StudioCanal in the UK on 27 September 2024, and in Germany on 7 November. Also in North America from 4 October.
