Regrets, they may have had a few, but then again, too few to mention.

The ‘sensational’ Paris Olympics come to an end.

Stars of sport, screen and music came together at the Paris 2024 closing ceremony to bring the 33rd Olympic Games to an end.

They were proud and so were the athletes.

Then actor Tom Cruise descended from the roof of Stade de France to collect the Olympic flag. This part of the handover to the American city of Los Angeles, which will host the next Games in 2028. Cruise then departed on a motorcycle.

On his it was not ‘mission impossible’. He delivered the flag to Los Angeles and Hollywood. Once there audience treated a feast of Snoop Dogg and Billie Eilish.

Back in Paris the theme turned to the Frank Sinatra song I Did It My Way delivered by outstanding performer – Yseult:

“I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway. And more, much more than this I did it my way”.
