The Wrap reported that Dwayne Johnson‘s frequent tardiness, sometimes arriving as late as eight hours and missing entire days of shooting, ballooned the budget to $250 million.

The film is set to be released nearly 2 years after wrapping in February of 2023. This extended post production is the predominantly the result of Dwayne Johnson’s behaviour and, specifically, his constant absence from set. Resultingly, this caused complications for Post Production.

This is the second time J.K. Simmons played Santa Claus after Klaus (2019).

Both Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans had cameo appearances in Free Guy (2021).
