Royal Advice for England’s Euro Campaign

Prince William paid a visit to the England men’s football team.  This ahead of trip to Germany to compete in the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament. He shared some words of advice which were passed on from young Prince Louis, who advised them to “eat twice the amount you would normally eat”.

The European Championships, which kick off on 14 June.

William, an Aston Villa fan, told the players: “I was on the school run this morning with the children and I said, ‘What shall I say to the England team today?’

Prince William is president of Football Association.  He met players and manager Gareth Southgate at England’s St George’s Park national football centre in Burton-upon-Trent.

He delivered a pep talk to the squad at St George’s Park.  William said that he will be watching every minute very closely, and telling players to focus on the task ahead at Euro 2024.

Schoolchildren from the Midlands invited to the event to mark England’s send-off.
