Theresa May to stand down as MP – before she goes do you remember this? watch the moves
Former Prime Minister Theresa May has announced she will stand down as an MP at the next general election.
Mrs May, who led the country in the wake of the Brexit referendum, has represented Maidenhead in Berkshire for 27 years.
She said the “difficult decision” to leave the seat would enable her to spend more time on “causes close to my heart”.
But remember Theresa May while Prime Minister when she danced on stage?
Mrs May made an unusual entrance at the Conservative Party Conference by shimmying on stage to Abba’s Dancing Queen.
The event was in Birmingham in 2018.
To loud cheers from delegates, she swayed to the beat with her trademark dance move as she reached the podium to make her keynote speech.
