William condemns rise in anti-semitism on a visit to synagogue
The Prince of Wales spoke to Jewish students about their first-hand experiences of antisemitism. It has increased since the Hamas attack in Israel and subsequent military operations in Gaza.
William met the young people as he made a visit to the Western Marble Arch Synagogue two days after pulling out of a memorial service for the late King Constantine II of Greece.
The Prince of Wales condemned the rise in hatred directed against the country’s Jewish community saying “antisemitism has no place in society”.
The future king’s visit to the synagogue also came after he called for the fighting in the Israel-Hamas war to end “as soon as possible”.
