Covid Inquiry – Sturgeon breaks down in tears
warning: possible offensive language
Nicola Sturgeon gives evidence at the UK Covid-19 Inquiry during which she became emotional and broke down in tears. She also responded to the ongoing scrutiny around the deletion of WhatsApp messages.
Sturgeon: her WhatsApp use was ‘very limited’. ‘Substantive discussions’ not on WhatsApp.
The former first minister gives evidence for a full day in Edinburgh today. Several key figures in her government have already appeared before the inquiry.
At the height of the pandemic, Scotland’s then first minister was near-constant presence on the nation’s TVs and her popularity soared.
But nearly a year after her shock resignation,Ms Sturgeon’s reputation is tarnished.
Last week Liz Lloyd, Ms Sturgeon’s former chief of staff, revealed messages where Ms Sturgeon described Boris Johnson as a “f—ing clown”.
