Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry – prosecution Scotland – evidence ends for the day at lunchtime 

Witnesses this week questioned on criminal investigations and prosecutions in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

David Teale, a lawyer gives evidence to the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry.  He was involved in the prosecution of William Quarm.

Quarm was convicted and died before his name was cleared.

A former Post Office investigator said he still believes a branch manager, whose conviction overturned after his death, stole money from his Post Office.

Raymond Grant told the Horizon IT inquiry on Wednesday, that he considered William Quarm to be guilty.

Mr Quarm pleaded guilty in 2010 to embezzling mone.  This to try to avoid going to prison.

He died in 2012, aged 69, before conviction quashed.

This is phase four of the Inquiry.
