Kate has been seen wearing full camouflage as she visited soldiers at the Robertson Barracks in Norfolk. Princess of Wales was on an important engagement as colonel-in-chief of The Queen’s Dragoon Guards Regiment.
Princess Kate made first visit to the 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards. This since becoming the regiment’s Colonel-in-Chief in August.
History of the 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards spans 340 years. Formed under the name in 1959 from the amalgamation of the two senior cavalry regiments, 1st King’s Dragoon Guards and the Queen’s Bays.
The regiment specialises in armoured reconnaissance. This a role performed in southern Iraq at the start of the 2003 war.
