Prince William makes surprise visit to Poland – meets troops supporting Ukraine

The Prince of Wales made a surprise visit to Poland to “personally thank” British and Polish soldiers involved in the war in Ukraine for “defending our shared freedoms”.

Prince William was on a top-secret visit to a Polish military base near the border with Ukraine.

The Prince of Wales is a vocal supporter of Ukraine’s efforts to fight Putin-backed Russian troops in the Ukraine-Russia war.  He told stationed soldiers that “everyone back home thoroughly supports you.”

His trip to Rzeszow, which is about one hour from the Ukrainian border, was kept under wraps until he returned to the capital of Warsaw.
