Queens for the Night: Corrie’s Simon crowned – watch how the transformation was made
Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson undertook a huge transformation to become a “larger than life” drag queen for ITV’s Queens for the Night. He transformed into the character of Bidet Bardot mentored by drag artist Myra Dubois. Simon not only turned into a drag queen he also performed as a comedian.
Hosted by Lorraine Kelly, this entertainment special saw a cast of celebrities transform into specular drag queens and take part in a truly fabulous competition.
Lorraine was joined by judges Spice Girl Melanie C, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie star Layton Williams. Also Drag Race icon and Celebrity Big Brother winner Courtney Act and comedian Rob Beckett.
The studio audience then asked to vote for the Queen of the Night and Simon Gregson won.
The actor channeled his inner diva for one night only in what was billed as a “fabulous competition like no other”. Simon has starred in the long-running ITV soap for more than three decades.
