Peckham copper loves the beat and where he lives
A policeman born in Southwark remains a Police Constable out of choice and loves where he lives.
Constable Nsikon Etuk, of Nigerian parents, joined the Met Police in 2003 and has walked the beat in Peckham since then.
In conversation with PECKHAM PODCAST, Constable Etuk reveals how he wanted to concentrate his policing on the community. He aimed to do it by walking the beat and staying at the place where he lived.
The long-serving police officer also stayed the same rank.
Chris Haydon discovered that Constable Etuk’s ambition was to bring people together.
