Diana winner of The Piano
It started as a dream 87 years ago.
One Evening she was feeling lost following the passing of her husband. He had died from Parkinsons Disease. Both madly in love with each other.
She turned to music and the piano. Diana sat down, wrote and composed her music Dreams.
From when she was very young Diana dreamt to be a concert pianist. Now, at the age of 87, Diana says “never give up on your dreams”.
Diana, a contestant on Channel 4’s The Piano, moved the judges and audience with her original composition, “Dreams.” She moved the mentors, Mika and Jon Batiste and Newcastle station audience with her performance of ‘Dreams,’ an original composition.
It was a tribute to her late husband. S
She found solace in the piano after his death and discovered she could write music, something she never thought she’d be able to do.
Her performance, a poignant and emotional piece, was praised for its beauty and the comfort it.
The judges on The Piano are Claudia Winkleman and Mika, with Jon Batiste replacing Lang Lang this year.
