Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has returned to the city from Paris with the Olympic flag. She said Los Angeles was proud to host the Games in 2028. Mayor Bass outlined how the Olympic team had learned a great deal from Paris and hoped to transpose those lessons in the creating and making of 2028.
Mayor Bass also said that public transport will play a major part during the Games. The system is well prepared to handle the transportation of fans and spectators. This to control congestion in LA.
LA preparing to become the third city in the world to host the games three times. It adds to the years of 1932 and 1984.
In the Paris closing ceremony this weekend, the R&B artist HER sang the national anthem in Paris where Tom Cruise abseiled from the roof of the Stade de France. The actor, Simone Biles and the LA mayor, Karen Bass, took part in a flag hand-off. It was not a mission impossible for cruise to deliver the flag to LA.
In southern California, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish and Snoop Dogg performed on the beach. And what a scene it was with blue skies and total sunshine.

“This is the biggest moment in LA28 history to date, as the Olympic flag passes from Paris to LA,” Casey Wasserman, the LA28 chairperson and president, said in a statement. The locals cannot wait for the global event.
Los Angeles hosts the Games for a third time in July 2028 . The city previously held events in 1932 and 1984. LA is adding thousands of hotel rooms, modifying existing venues for the games and expanding transit options. Nothing will be missed out.
The 2028 Olympics will start on July 14, 2028, with the Opening and Closing Ceremonies scheduled to be hosted jointly the Los Angeles Coliseum and SoFi Stadium. The Games will officially end on July 30. Paralympic Games then kicks off in Southern California on Aug. 15 and run through Aug. 27.
