Soccer Aid: Tom Walker half-time performance
The Soccer Aid game is back for another year as two teams made up of cells and former footballers take to the pitch for charity
It is the 13th time the game between England and a World XI has taken place with proceeds from the match going to UNICEF. This year there will be another half-time show with crowds at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge, and those watching at home, entertained by singer-songwriter Tom Walker.
Tom, 32, rose to fame after the release of his single Leave a Light On, which peaked at number 7 in the UK back in 2018. His album What a Time to Be Alive went to number one in the charts a year later.
He won the Best Breakthrough Act at the 2019 Brit Awards with Leave a Light On also nominated for “Best British Single”. Since then he has released a number of other singles including his most recent song Lifeline.
Born in the Scottish town of Kilsyth, Tom moved to Chelford in Cheshire when he was three.
Live from Stamford Bridge, Dermot O’Leary and Alex Scott host the pre-match build-up and all the action from the biggest celebrity football match of the year – Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2024.
