Corrie star Ellie wins Strictly Come Dancing
Leach beat out EastEnders’ Bobby Brazier and Bad Education star Layton Williams to lift the glitter ball trophy.
The star and pro partner Vito Coppola cheered. Both crowned this year’s winners by hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
Ellie was lost for words as her name was shouted out, while Vito sobbed as he praised his co-star. Ellie’s victory saw her become the youngest winner of the series since it began making show history.
The 2023 trio is the youngest line-up of finalists ever.
The 22-year-old actress was awarded 40 points for her final dance of the night, and Anton Du Beke became emotional as he told Ellie Leach he was “proud” of her.
She was also praised for taking a “risk” with a lift during her second dance with professional dance partner Vito Coppola.
Some critics described this season of Strictly as one of the best.
