MP tells parliament o suicide attempt
Elliot Colburn revealed an attempt to take his life to a shocked House of Commons.
During Question Time on Wednesday he stood up and made public his mental health struggles.
Colburn explained he was doing this to highlight campaign to Boost your Self Esteem and Children’s Mental Health in month of February.
Recently, he says he doesn’t recognise the man who scribbled a goodbye note. Colburn happy to talk about his journey to inspire others.
Since his speech, Victoria Atkins, the health secretary, and Maria Caulfield, a mental health minister, have approached him about the government’s strategy to reduce suicide rates in the next five years.
