A Normal Family opens London Korean film festival – BFI Southbank

The film A Normal Family launches a special Red Carpet Gala that opens the London Korean Film Festival.
It’s the 18th held in the capital and commemorates 40th anniversary of Korean Academy of film Arts (KAFA)
Director Hur Jin-ho welcomes stars, personalities and guests.
A Normal Family by Hur Jin-ho – the story based on the celebrated Dutch novel Het Diner (The Dinner) by Herman Koch. It sold over a million copies.
Successful attorney Jae-wan (Sul Kyung-gu) takes on the case of a wealthy executive’s son. Jae-wan intentionally ran over and murdered a man and gravely injured his daughter. To defend a killer is part of Jae-wan’s profession. It’s another rung on the ladder of his career.
On the other hand, younger brother (Jang Dong-gun) is a devout and honourable pediatrician. He consistently prioritises the health of the patients before personal gain and profit. Also frequently breaking the regulations of the private clinic where he works.
When an unexpected circumstance involving teenage children emerges, the brothers’ consciences tested. Their regularly scheduled dinner talk takes an unexpected turn.
